Emeka Osei

Emeka Osei was born in Accra, Ghana, and raised in London, where he studied international development and journalism. He has spent his career writing about the food security challenges facing Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia — regions where agricultural innovation is not an academic exercise but a matter of survival. At Discovia, Emeka covers drought-resistant crop research, biofortification, pest-resistant seed development, and the often-overlooked agricultural scientists in the Global South doing world-class work with a fraction of Western resources. He is a firm believer that the next Green Revolution will come from somewhere unexpected — and he intends to be there when it does. He is based in London.
