About

Tobias Krüger studied mechatronics engineering at the Technical University of Berlin before pivoting to technology journalism with a focus on robotics and autonomous systems. He has spent a decade writing about the machines being built to work alongside — and sometimes instead of — humans, with a particular interest in how these systems are designed, who they serve, and what happens when they fail. At Discovia, Tobias covers surgical robots, warehouse automation, self-driving systems, humanoid robots, and the human-computer interaction research shaping how we relate to intelligent machines. He is equal parts fascinated and cautious — a combination his readers find refreshing in a field often dominated by either uncritical enthusiasm or reflexive fear. He is based in Berlin.
